The General Assembly works hand-in-hand with synods, presbyteries and local congregations to respond when disasters strike. Our communities are experiencing more frequent and more severe natural disasters due to the global climate crisis. During 2024, the General Assembly supported collecting and distributing emergency supplies to households affected by Cyclone Freddy. Later in the year, households were provided roofing materials to help them repair their homes and be better prepared for the coming rainy season. This was made possible thanks to local contributions from CCAP communities and the support of church partners in the USA and Scotland.
